What to visit in Birmingham, the UK

Hiii everyone, welcome to my post about Birmingham. You may be wondering why I decided for Birmingham, it´simple, I´m studying here. And after 6 months living here, I feel like I can give you some tips on what to visit if you have one or two days.
Birmingham is a second-largest city in the United Kingdom. Located in the West Midlands county and region in England, approximately 100 (160 km) from Central London, Birmingham, as one of the United Kingdom´s major cities, is considered to be the social, cultural, financial, and commercial centre of both the East and West Midlands.

1. Library of Birmingham
Ok, I know this may not sound so appealing to go to the library, BUT Birmingham´s library is really nice. On the ground floor, there is a café, where you can buy something to eat or drink to go or just sit and enjoy some peace. The main selling point for the library is the three viewing platforms. Two of them are open-air with a beautiful view of the city. So if you visit Birmingham by any chance this is must-see and it´s free.

2. Walk around the canals
Canals in Brum are stunning, just walk around and stop in some cute café for a cup of tea. During the night time there are some fine bars, where can you enjoy the nightlife.

3.  Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery
It has a collection of international importance covering fine art, ceramics, metalwork, jewellery, natural history, archaeology, ethnography, local history and industrial history. Whole museum and art gallery is free so even if you are not the biggest fan of them you can visit. Inside there is café Edwardian Tea Rooms maybe this will be more your cup of tea. I´ve visited the museum two times and liked it both times.

4. Bullring
Bullring is ta shopping centre in Birmingham´s centre. Here you can find anything you would need. Near to the Bullring is the world´s biggest Primark. If you like shopping in Primark you will love this one and if you go there with someone who does not like shopping there are two cafés inside.

5. China town
Another place where you can do more shopping or have some bubble tea.

6. Sea World
I  visited Birmingham´s Sea World with my mum and honestly, it was great. We spent there around 1,5 hour. I really enjoyed it and probably would go there again. If you buy tickets in advance online you can save some money.

7. Ikon Gallery
If you enjoy galleries and modern art you will like this place. It is small so you can see everything in 40 minutes. It is free but you can donate money to the gallery.

8. Broad Street
If you like nightlife you will love Broad Street fo sure. It is full of bars. clubs and places where you can eat and have a drink.

I hope you liked this article and if you have some more places you enjoy in Birmingham comment them down belove.
LOVE.

STEPANKA.
